On Tuesday if you live in North and South America, you will be in for a treat. There will be a lunar eclipse, sometimes called a Blood Moon. It occurs when the Earth, Moon, and Sun are in perfect alignment with the Earth in the middle. Also, it can only happen on the Full Moon. It is quite the phenomena.
Symbolically, some people see it as the ultimate representation of the Triple Goddess.
Magically, the lunar eclipse is a conundrum. The sheer energy of the event is seen by some practitioners as too overwhelming therefore no magic or spiritual work should be done on this occurrence. Others, including Dorothy Morrison, encourage practitioners to work with its energy at least once in their lifetime. In Everyday Moon Magic she encourages people to save “big projects” with long-term implications for this event, such as a career change or a search for a life partner. Anything in which you need things to fall into place perfectly. Personally I am excited for this opportunity.
