Three Imbolc Rituals

Imbolc is one of my favorite Pagan festivals.  It is all about preparing for spring and for new possibilities.  This time of year, you will notice that the days are getting longer and while it is still cold everything is beautiful and snow covered.

Ten Misconceptions About Paganism and Witchcraft

The university where I work recently held a professional development event about accepting and understanding transgender students.  A panel of students answered every question, no matter how trivial or controversial.  It gave people the opportunity to develop understanding in a safe and positive environment.

So in that spirit I hung out on Tumblr and found some common misconceptions about Paganism from outside of the Pagan community.  Now clearly my answers are from my experience of Paganism, so I am asking my fellow bloggers to chime in.  The goal is to create greater understanding of the Pagan community to promote greater peace and harmony. Essential Oil Sprays

As you my lovely reader may have noticed, I love essential oils.  I was first exposed to them as a kid.  Lavender oil was my great-grandmother’s remedy for everything from bruises to stinky sinks.  I rediscovered them as an adult and have been experimenting ever since.

Major Symbols in Wicca and Paganism

In modern Paganism and Wicca, there are a number of popular and common symbols.  This is a brief introduction largely from my own research.  I encourage my lovely readers to really sit with these symbols to discover their meanings for themselves. Continue reading

I am Looking for a Graphic Designer

Hello Lovely Readers,

As you may have noticed, C&B has gotten a makeover! I have outgrown the old design and traded in for something a little more modern.  However it seems that I need a logo.

Which is where you may come in.  I am looking for someone to do a little design work.  I can’t pay very much, but it would be a great project for a student looking to strengthen their portfolio.  Please email me if you are interested.

Thanks,

Ariadne

You get fired.  Or your grandfather dies.  Or the entire bottom of your car rusts out and falls off on I-93 and now you have a concussion, a broken leg, and no car.  Well, shit.  Now what?  Your emotions are all over the place and things literally might be falling apart.  Well, take a breathe my friend and use your witchy skills to heal and to move through this time in your life.

Obviously I am not a doctor, licensed therapist, or minister.  I’m just someone who has been through some tough times and feel called to offer some friendly, well-intentioned, and free advice.  So, you know, take some of this with a grain of salt. Continue reading
