Colds are the worst. You’re congested and grumpy and feel like you just want to sleep all the time. But you also need to go to work and take your kids to school and buy groceries. For when you are down and out, using this recipe will help soothe and heal.
You can apply this recipe in one of two ways. You can diffuse it in a oil burner or you can add the essential oils to coconut oil and use it the same way you use Vicks.
- 5 drops of lavender essential oil
- 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil
- 1 drop of chamomile essential oil
- 1 drop vetivert essential oil
Lavender, eucalyptus, and chamomile are all excellent oils for healing and for maintaining good health. Lavender also promotes rest and relaxation as well as protects the sick person from further harm. Eucalyptus on a medicinal level opens up the nasal passages and helps the patient breathe. Chamomile will keep your nervous system calm and collected. Vetivert soothes, but also keeps the sick person grounded in Earth energy; let the Divine Mother lend her help for a speedy recovery.
