About Ariadne

Welcome to Cauldron and Brew!

Hello! My name is Ariadne.  I’m a twenty-something Witch and writer living on the East Coast of the United States.  My Pagan path started in 2010 during the summer between my freshman and sophomore years of college.  While I prefer the simple term witch, to get a little more specific I follow an eclectic, solitary path with strong influences from Wicca, yoga, tantra, and New Age philosophy.

Outside of the world of the witch, I work at a large university in New England.  I love traveling, reading, hanging out with friends and family, dancing, gardening, cooking, and writing. I am also an herbalist and a Level I Reiki practitioner.

This blog hosts three different types of posts: personal experiences, Witch Tips, and reviews of Pagan and Wiccan books, blogs, and other forms of media.  My goal is two-fold: first, to share my experience in this lifetime with anyone interested in reading about them and share bits of wisdom I’ve gained along the way (i.e. my Witch Tips); and second, to give people access to rich, accurate information about Paganism and Witchcraft as well as related topics (i.e. reviews).  I do not post spells or rituals, although hopefully I can point you in the right direction to create your own!

I welcome all people to check out this blog.  Comment please!  Find a fact in a post wrong?  If you can back it up with cited information, I encourage you to tell me.

Bright Blessings to all who check out this blog.

  1. Merry meet, Ariadne! I have a feeling I’ll find your blog very interesting. I’m only starting both my Path and my blog, and I’m sure there’s much I could learn from you. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I am Samuel and I would like to know about symbols. particulary the penta symbols. I am building a braiding loom for myself and would like to incorperate a pentagram inside of a octagon with a hole in the center. I do not want to create something with conflict so asking if you would help with this symbol marrage to be positive.

    1. Hi Samuel, as far as I know there is no problem with mixing a pentacle and a octagon. However I am not an expert on symbology so I would do a little more research if I were you.
